Sissonne
2 (see-sohn) A jump brush step. A basic step. Named after the originator of
the step. Your legs work like scissors. The basic sissonne starts in fifth,
right foot front, spring in the air from both feet to the right, in second
position, while opening left leg to 45degrees, landing on right leg, while
brushing left leg to the front, landing in fifth, left foot front. There are
many variations on this step. You can land on one foot in an open position,
to the second or arabesque, then assemble close.
